The 4 post lift is a great product. The assembly instructions not so much. The ramps are very heavy and were difficult to lift into place. The pump is heavy duty and lifts my vehicles easily. Overall worth the money and effort to assemble. Be sure to watch some You Tube videos on assembly and adjusting the cables.

- Shipping was quick, I paid $350 extra to have the lift placed directly into my home garage for teardown, which saved a lot of time.- One person can do it but I did feel it the next day (I'm 6'2, 220lbs) Use a friend or engine-lift for track placement, your back will thank you later and I didn't have either available to me at the time.- The parts are quality, I do wish the safety locking rails were a bit thicker, they bend easily.- The lift is good for both storage and performing maintenance in my view. (I have a 3-car garage)- You will need to be a little mechanically inclined because the instructions are weak. Youtube videos are okay, I used them to view teardown and that's about it.- If your house is newer, I think it's okay to switch the 20amp breaker to 30amp for the plug without running new wires. I checked amps with both a car off and on the lift. It didn't draw too hard with my very heavy electric car on it. (I'm an Electrical Engineer) I'm not responsible if you don't re-run new wires :)- Wider Cars, you will notice a little tire overhang of about an inch or two with zero modification.- There isn't a guard to protect the hydraulic fitting on the outside of the lift and if having wider tires, watch to make sure it doesn't roll over the fitting. They could have made the hole for the fitting lower but then the locking rails would be in the way.- Leaks will/may be detected after you place the car on the lift and apply pressure to the lines. be sure to check the tightness of the hydraulic fittings underside the ramps, don't assume they are fully tight from the factory. I had to quickly think, take the locking rails apart to get the the back of the fitting to snug it tight.- The system calls for 3 gallons of hydraulic or transmission fluid, get 3.5 gallons because the lines suck some fluid into the system. If you get a 5-gallon bucket, that is great to do top-offs when the fluid starts breaking down a little.- Important! If you want to get your lift closer to a wall at the left side of the garage driving inward, you'll need to have the motor on the opposite end. I did this to maximize space and was still able to tuck in a sport-motorcycle you can't see from the photo on the other side of the lower car. The ramps are meant to be opposite side of the motor assembly and I had to use a saws-all to modify one of the gorgeous ramps. The locking mechanism handle is slightly in the way of the ramp to drop completely down in the slot to hold it in place.- I can get both cars in without the garage tracks being modified and I think this is mostly the case for lower-profiled cars. I will be installing the garage rails kit so I can open the garage door fully instead of halfway to slide in the bottom car. I did remove the mechanical garage lift and guide rail so I can lift any car to the 10'10" ceiling. I now lift the single-car garage door manually until I install the solution. Both SUV's fit easily without spacing issues through the double side door where that one is still motorized.- Cheers to those who like to do things themselves! This was fun to do, and a great price. I may just do it again to make my 3-car garage a 5-car because I like to challenge my lady's patience to check if she still loves me :)

Needless to say these parts are heavy. Using an engine lift I am moving parts in place, but I can find no way to determine which end goes to the door. There are 2 bolt holes on one end that COULD be used as a guide but nothing in the installation instructions is useful in figuring this out. I'd like to put them down once not move them around a lot, but the lack of effort put into the installation instructions makes this lift a not buy for many. Of course, I could look some crap up on the internet where someone else worked through this issue, but I paid good money for good instructions and got garbage. Anything worth doing is worth making 100% of the product with the customer in mind. They dropped the ball on this one.

Excellent lift. The most difficult task is coordinating delivery.... specifically getting it off of the truck. We were fortunate that we could pick up at a distribution center nearby. Otherwise, easy easy to assemble. We had 3 guys and it took about 5 hours start to finish and a lunch break. I would say 4 helpers is best. Some of the parts are no joke heavy to lift with just 2 people. Lift functions as advertised and very sturdy.... no shakiness, etc. love it !!

I ordered this lift and arranged to pick it up at the dock rather than getting it delivered to my house. I highly recommend doing this unless you own a forklift or have a dock.I used a dump trailer and slid it out the back of the trailer. was a little sketchy but it worked :)So the only reason I chose 4 stars and not 5 are for two reasons.1. They do not tell you the hydraulic piston assembly works exactly backwards from how you think. Me and my two sons assembled the entire lift in about 3 hours and it took 2 additional hours to figure out why I couldn't get it to raise. Costed me $150 worth of hydraulic fluid in the process.2. The locking mechanism is not well designed. When you lift your car to desired height and then decide to move the lever to set it and use the safety lock it doesn't always catch. You need to walk to the back and verify it each time. You can actually lower the car and have the front locked and the rear miss, even on one post. Very dangerous, the springs are not strong enough and you need to manually push the locking lever in all the way. I would say 9/10 times. Its a real pan in the butt to be honest and I have been thinking on a mod for it but have not come up with one as of yet. Other then a heavier duty spring.End result on this lift though, it is super easy and I have never popped a breaker and did nothing special for that circuit. For the price this is the best lift out there, i would buy again without hesitation.

This auto lift is well made and sturdy. It was easy to assemble with help. The wheels are ingenious and worked well. We elected to pick it up and they didn’t notify us when it got to the local dock, so be aware you might have to track it down. Also, track down assembly instructions before it arrives as they won’t be included and you will need them. It’s worth the hassles.

Excellent lift for the price. Works well so far but I just put it together. Couple of items as an FYI. You need to get it off the delivery truck yourself. The way I did it was I have a wood bed car trailer with a winch I basically pulled it off the truck with the winch and left it on my trailer while I put it together. You need to call the company and they will immediately send you The assembly instruction via email. I was able to assemble the lift by myself in about 8-9 hours over 2 days. It is a pretty basic assembly. Levers crow bars and hydraulic bottle jacks allows one persons to assemble the lift. However, you need to be in pretty decent shape and have decent mechanical skill to do it yourself particularly since the runners are pretty heavy. And don’t lift with your back! If you can have 1-2 others help you, it will be way easier. The only issue I came across other than it being really heavy to do as a one man show, was when it was assembled, one of the cables was rubbing a bolt so i just reversed the two cables coming off the hydraulic piston rod and it worked well. When it came to adjusting the cables and safety blocks and safety block release lever, my wife and daughter did help. Regarding the electrical connection, it requires a 30 amp 110 V breaker and plug. This could take you a few more hours. I personally put in a 30 amp 220v breaker with 10/3 wire and capped of the second hot wire to have it available in case I want to get a second lift I want to first be sure everything works well before buying a second. To make sure it works well before you have a chance to wire up the 30 amp plug, you can wire up a temporary 20 amp plug to run it without a load and it won’t trip the breaker. If you feel like you want to try to lift a car with a 20 amp circuit. Let me say, don’t. You can fry your circuit. Hope this helps.

Super heavy, but works great. As advertised, directions were exceptionally vague and comical but it's rather intuitive. A note on power: It comes wired with a 110V cord and says that it requires 30A of power, and it is not a joke. I had a generator that makes 28 amps and it was not even able to engage the contacts on the pump. Ran a dedicated 30A of power into this space, and the lift zooms up and down happily. The wheel kit is great, and allows me to easily move this monster around the room as needed. I am giddy with joy. In fact, I am ordering another today. It's way too big to muscle off with a small forklift. Had to go to trucking depot and pick it up on a flatbed. It's packed in a shape about 16' long, 20" wide, and 3' tall. It's HEAVY. I had 4 men and a couple of six packs to assemble it, and it was fun.Note that hardware is metric; Mine was missing a couple of nuts for the main cables but they were easily sourced. M20 standard thread. A great buy, and what a nice machine to have in the shop for a spoiled child and his toys.
